UNF Emeriti Book Club
Date: Wednesday, November 12, 2008
Time: 10:00 – 11:30 A.M.
Location: UNF Alumni Hall (4804 South Kernan Blvd.)
The UNF Emeriti Book Club will be reading "Loving Frank" by Nancy Horan. “Loving Frank” tells the story of the love affair between Mamah Borthwick Cheney and Frank Lloyd Wright. Drawing on years of research, Horan weaves little-known facts into a compelling narrative, vividly portraying the conflicts and struggles of a woman forced to choose between the roles of mother, wife, lover, and intellectual. During the construction of the Cheney house, a powerful attraction developed between Mamah and Frank, and in time the lovers, each married with children, embarked on a course that would shock Chicago society and forever change their lives. This meeting of the book club will be held on Wednesday, November 12th. The Emeriti Book Club meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 10:00 AM in the Office of Alumni Services located at Alumni Hall. Beverages and snacks will be provided. To join us or for more information please contact Jamie Spruell at (904) 620.2132 or email@example.com.

Would you like to host a dinner with 12 Ospreys (students, professors and alumni)?
The UNF Alumni Association is pleased to carry on the tradition of "Dinner with 12 Strangers" into the new school year. We are looking for UNF alumni hosts to sponsor a dinner for 12, which would include students, professors and alumni. The type of dinner may be a backyard barbecue, casual buffet or a gourmet meal. We do a bit of "matchmaking" by connecting students with Osprey alumni who graduated with a similar degree or program of study, along with current faculty. Dinner with 12 Strangers gives students an opportunity to network and meet their future fellow alums, and it's great way to get the inside scoop on what is happening at UNF. Contact Kim Diamon at KDiamon@unf.edu or (904) 620.2133 for more information.
